What a cracking car this was. My brother was employed at Thiess Toyota in Taren Point (Sydney) in the 80's and got to drive the newest and best Toyotas as company demos. There were 2 of note - the 1986/87 Twin Cam 16 Corolla and the 1990 Twin Cam Celica. When they say executive driven on car sales, that means - stay well clear cause someone's had some FUN. The little Corolla Twin Cam 16 pictured here punched well above it weight accelerated and cornered 10/10th. I remember my brother smoking up the front end big time, punching hard down back country roads and just enjoying a capable car that just would not or could not be broken. No one makes them like this any more ! Thanks for putting this up - great memories.
